From the Contacts tab in Discover settings, click Create list. Inside the new list, click Add contacts and select an .xlsx file to import.
You must confirm you have permission to email the contacts you are uploading to proceed. Ensure you are following applicable laws and regulations governing the handling of personal information and communications.
Map the fields. For each column in your file, use the Import as dropdown to choose how it should be imported.
Click Import. Contacts are imported row by row and you don't need to stay on the page for the import to process. Once complete, you'll receive an email with a link to download a list of any import errors. These include:
If an email address in your file matches a contact already in the list, their information will be overwritten with the new data.
When you confirm permission to email your contacts during import, each contact is tagged as subscribed. Subscribed contacts are included in email invitations when the list is used.
Email invitations include an unsubscribe link by default. We strongly encourage keeping it as it allows contacts to opt out and helps maintain a healthy sending reputation. In some locations, including an unsubscribe link is legally required. In the United States, for example, this is mandated by the CAN-SPAM Act. Be aware that the laws governing email communication are often determined by the location of the contact, not the sender.
